General
Guidelines

As we gather for in-person worship services,
we are driven by one truth: Love one another.

  • If you and your family are able, we encourage you to worship in person with our church on Sunday mornings.
  • If you (or anyone in your household) have a fever, feel sick, have a cough, cold, or think you may have come in contact with COVID-19, do not attend our in-person Worship Service.
  • We’ll have one in-person Worship Service at 10:30a.
  • In-person Worship Services will be family formatted, with all ages worshiping together in the Worship Center. For now, Harvest Kids is only available for children 16mo-1st grade.
  • You can choose where to sit when you enter the Worship Center leaving no less than two open chairs between you and other households. The back of the Worship Center will have pods so that families with little ones have room to spread out a little.
  • The entire in-person gathering will maintain social distancing and healthy hygiene.
  • Our lobby will be open for both before and after the service.
  • It is required that everyone 6 years and older wear a face mask. If you need a mask, we will provide one.
  • Our Worship at Home page will continue to be available on our website. We encourage anyone who may be high-risk or uncomfortable attending to Worship at Home with us.

Harvest Kids

Our Harvest Kids Team is so excited to be able to regather with Harvest Kids! To ensure that kids and servants are able to regather safely, we have made several changes to the way we gather:

  • Registration is required and class sizes are limited.
  • Our team will have pre-printed tickets at the Harvest Kids welcome desk for you to pick up when you arrive.
  • Only one parent per family may enter the Harvest Kids hallway for drop-off and pick-up (older siblings must also remain in the lobby).
  • Every person entering the Harvest Kids hallway will have their temperatures taken and hands sanitized.
  • Masks are required for every person, Kindergarten and up.
  • Attendance stickers will be placed directly on the attendance sheet on the classroom door rather than handed to the teacher.
  • For everyone’s safety, snacks will not be provided.

PLEASE NOTE: At this time, we will be making Harvest Kids available to children 16 mos – 1st grade only. We will phase in the Nursery and 2nd-5th grade rooms at a later date.

If you have any questions please feel free to contact Kendra at kkalama@harvestbiblechurch.com or by text at 480.709.1293.

What will be different about the in-person Worship Services?2020-05-28T20:00:03-07:00

All of our practices while we are gathered will include social distancing and healthy hygiene. This includes sitting by household in the Worship Center and offering masks and sanitizer. This also means we will not hand out worship guides, pass offering buckets, greet each other with handshakes or share food or beverages in the Lobby.

Even though many things will be different when we regather in-person our goal as a church must be to minimize anything that would distract us from resounding in worship and anchoring to God’s Word together.

What should I do if my child becomes disruptive during the Worship Service?2020-05-28T20:06:06-07:00

We have a room available with a limited number of tables for families with children who need to leave the Worship Center.

What should I do if I’m not comfortable regathering at this time?2020-05-28T20:04:55-07:00

Our Worship at Home page will continue to be available on our website. We encourage anyone who may be sick, at high-risk for COVID-19, or uncomfortable attending to Worship at Home with us.

What happens if someone in our congregation tests positive?2020-05-28T20:12:07-07:00

If we are notified of a confirmed case of COVID-19 in our congregation, we will seek to quickly communicate with all who may be affected. Our county health department will also offer help in determining if our congregation is at risk. There is a chance they may ask certain individuals to self-quarantine for at least 14 days.

Please keep in mind that a diagnosis of any kind is personal health information that should only be released by the patient.

I’m unmarried and live alone but I don’t want to sit alone. What should I do?2020-09-04T11:46:49-07:00

Those who are unmarried can sit with another household as long as everyone sitting together agrees. Please be mindful of others around you and avoid physical contact with those outside of your household.

I need help. What do I do?2020-05-28T20:16:26-07:00

We have created a COVID-19 Benevolence Fund. The purpose of the fund is to meet the basic needs of those negatively affected by the COVID-19 virus in our church and neighborhood. You can begin applying for financial assistance by confidentially emailing one of our Pastors.

If you need someone to talk to and pray with you, we are here and would love help. You can fill out a Prayer Form or call us (602-788-1620) and a member of our prayer team will reach out to you.

How will the building be sanitized between services?2020-05-28T20:08:55-07:00

Our commercial cleaners will be onsite to clean and sanitize before and between Worship Services. They will sanitize “touch points” such as doors, entryways, and offering boxes throughout the building.
